Introduction to Mind-Body Skills

Co-facilitators- Seema Khaneja MD & Lisa Beach PhD

We are all becoming more and more aware of the impact of our emotions and stress on our well being. Many of us may already be practicing meditation and relaxation techniques to help us better cope with our daily stressors. Yet perhaps we just need a little more support and education to own these skills fully and use them to create the changes we desire in our lives. Or perhaps we just are seeking a group that can support us in our individual practices.

This introduction to Mind-Body Skills is based on a course developed by the Center for Mind-Body Medicine in Washington, DC. The course has been taught to thousands of health care professionals worldwide as well as children and adults dealing with many different issues such as chronic and terminal illnesses, anxiety, depression, eating and weight concerns, and post-traumatic stress disorder.  We are very confident that this course can provide you with simple, fun and effective tools to better care for yourself, and in turn be a better resource for all others in your life.

The course will be taught over eight weekly 2 hour sessions. Each session is limited to 6 to 8 participants.
