Thrive-Style: How I Eat

I have so many recipes to share with you.

I need an intern.

Did I mention that I think I’m getting another intern? I hope so because I can’t keep up with everything I want to share…

Because many of you keep asking me how I’m eating right now, I thought I’d do a quick check-in and rundown on that. Note, in the video I mention that I drink Kombucha… I meant to say I like the Trilogy flavor, not Synergy (they’re all GT Synergy Classic Kombucha).

News/Notes:

I had a great time in NY, found out I was teaching a 4-week summer class (starting 3 days after I found out about it) while I was there (which intensified my workload a bit—in a good way), got back, haven’t caught up yet… had a great time at the beach on July 4th, and continued the holiday attitude through the weekend. I’m so happy to feel more caught up now, and I am not doing any traveling anytime soon so I can keep up and focus on my routine.

I’m gonna do the stairs today for the first time in a couple weeks… gonna shoot for 12 times even though that’s probably unrealistic! I’m also planning on slacklining this week at the beach, with a friend or alone… depending on if he is free. I’m hoping I can fix my bike and speed up the 15 minute commute to the slackline place. We’ll see.

Pilar and I are almost done with the post partum nutrition and yoga course, so we’ll release that soon and get onto the next one! Baby Maya is going to make an appearance in one of the videos so I’ll be sure to share a clip of it. She’s so sweet, and already a yoga baby!

I loved being in NY and seeing my family, but I was not very active at all (it rained for the last 5 days I was there), and it has taken me a while to get back into the swing of things. I finally went to yoga today, and re-remembered why I love it and want to do it everyday! I’m looking forward to my gym membership commitment being over in August so I can start going to YogaWorks instead. I love Equinox, but at $150 a month when I am only going to yoga classes (and doing all my other activities outside), I need to wrap that up and change the plan.

What’s new with you? Are you feeling on the ball with your exercise and eating routines? I’m doing ok with exercise and pretty good with food. Although I’ll admit to drinking lots of wine and cocktails over the last few weeks. It’s just such a summer thing to do!
